Memory Maze June DT Reveal

Hi there! I'm here to share two cards I recently made for my DT stint with Memory Maze Designs chippies. It's been awhile since I made cards cause I've been so caught up with creating layouts and have this super crazy, craving to alter just about anything!

So, without further ado, here are the cards (tonnes of fussy cutting I must warn you)

First one up,

.....................................................................................................................

Best Wishes Card

1) First, I adhered patterned paper to the frame chippie. I only used the square portion of the chippie. The swirly outside was used for another project while the centre oval for the card that's about to follow this post. See how versatile MM chippies are! ;)
2) Next, I dabbed distress paints around the edges and the inside of the frame
3) While waiting for the paint to dry, I fussy cut some details from a patterned paper of choice and adhered to card once dried.
4) I proceeded to paint another chippie titled Best Wishes using the distress paints again and then adhered to the card

Some scrappy info:
1) First, I adhered patterned paper to the oval shape of the frame chippie.
2) I fussy cut some details from a patterned paper of choice and adhered to card once dried. I put a banner at the top and a ruler fussy cut at the edge
4) I proceeded to paint another chippie titled Just For You using the distress paints again and then adhered to the card

Altered Milk Tin

Hello there! It's all things summer this month at The PaperHaus Magazine and I've got another altered project to share with you! I seem to be making tonnes of altered projects and I honestly can't seem to get enough of them!

This time, I altered an old milk tin..I have lots of them and simply wanted to make something useful out of it. Last week, the hubs and I visited the nursery. We wanted to spruce up our lil balcony and thought some plants will cozy up the place a little

I must tell you, it did more than that! It lit up a creative bulb in my head and you know what I made as an addition to my lil garden? An altered milk tin to store the fertilizer! :) The Graphic 45 French Country collection was just perfect for this.

Have a look :

Scrappy Info:
1) First wrap the entire tin with kraft paper.
2) Next, fussy cut details off a patterned paper of your choice and adhere as a label
3) Cover the top and bottom of the areas that were covered by the kraft paper with some washi tape
4) For the cover, adhere a circle cut out from kraft paper
5) Poke a hold through the centre and insert a two skewers that hold the rooster on one and flower on the other
6) Further embellish with die cut picket fence and fussy butterflies

Materials Used:
Cardstock: Kraft - Craft Supply
Patterned Paper: Graphic 45
Washi Tape: Etsy Store
Punch: Martha Stewart
Circle Cutter: Martha Stewart
Picket Fence Die: Memory Box Dies

Hope you lovely peeps will have a go at it this! Let me know if you had as much fun as I did! ;)

We want to share with you what we have made! Every day on the PaperHaus Blog there will be amazing inspiration and tutorials so be sure to stop on by everyday in June!

Here's a project I created for the Summer Blog Hop. An altered hat! :) I love altered art tonnes and with Summer being the theme for this hop as well as our projects for June, I had to put on my thinking cap to come up with something to share with you lovely readers...It wasn't easy, considering summer tones are more on the brown, red, orange whilst my projects are more on the muted tone dept!

Anyhoots, When I think summer, I think hot! and immediately I thought, I'd need to wear a hat! But I'd want one of style of course LOL..so I did it the scrapbooking way, some Prima flowers, bling and ribbon to complete the look!

A quick step-by-step:
1) Tie a ribbon around the mound of the hat
2) Start off by adhering the largest flower
3) Continue to layer around the large flower with smaller ones
4) Adhere some blings and other embellishments like lace and such if you fancy

Here's what mine turned out like:

Now, moving on to the hop. Some simple rules to participate:

1) You would need to be a follower
2) Leave a comment
and
3) You must stop by all the blogs to be in the running for the prize pack.

Daydream Darling Altered Canvas

Hello there my crafty friends! I feel like I've been bitten by the mixed media bug! LOL! I'm not a big fan of messy work..only cause it requires lots of cleanup after I'm done and quite honestly, I'm just too lazy :)

But Prima has a way with making you push those thoughts away and now that I've discovered my new found love for mixed media, I'm guessing messy craft room ahead!

Here's an altered canvas I made for The PaperHaus Magazine using their Fairy Belle collection together with some chippies by Dusty Attic and Memory Maze

How I put this together
1) Using the brick wall stencil, I created some texture using texture paste
2) I gesso-ed the chippies and began to adhere the flowers, resin embellishment, lace and fussy cut patterned papers
3) I spray misted the entire block with various spray mists

Materials Used:
Patterned Paper: Prima Marketing Inc
Chipboard: Memory Maze, Dusty Attic, Studio Calico
Flowers: Prima Marketing Inc, Craft Supply
